The table has a fun little basket in the middle, my kids decided it was the garbage spot. Guessing something more fun than that will be in it at the store.
I gave it a light sand to degloss. Tightened a few screws. Coated with Kilz aerosol primer. Semi gloss black and candy apple red, classic Mickey colors for the chairs. Finished them with a light distress and some black and white splatters on the seats.
My client wanted old Mickey comics on the top. I ended up finding an old "Year with Mickey" book at Salvation Army that worked out great. The book had lots of fun pictures of all the different holidays throughout the year. I decoupaged the top clockwise to the calendar year around the table. I finished the legs with the same paint as the chairs. I protected the top with a high gloss clear coat with lots of thin layers to protect all those Mickeys.
My kids were sad to see this go, I hope it makes lots of others happy!

Where is your shop? Would love to visit!
It's not open yet. She is hoping to be open by end of the month. Its going to be called Radically Recycled, and is going to be in downtown Romeo. I will post the details when it opens. Most of this stuff is still in my garage :)
What a fun piece!!!
