We’ve spent the last week enjoying the sunshine, swimming, beaching, biking, running, and playing. But the fairy in me also found time to paint and create. Over the next week, I’ll fill you in on the details of the Fl projects, but today I just want to introduce you to our Geo Fairy’s talents. She has taught me and influenced me lots through my creative journeys, and is always a huge help in my creative adventures.

My mom, aka Geo to my kids is a fairy with many many talents. She is very talented with a paint brush. She uses a different kind of brush and media than I usually do. She does watercolor and pastels, bringing the flowers, trees, sunsets around her to life on paper. Her amazing art fills her home and the homes of friends and strangers. Over the years, if it can be painted she’s probably given it a try at least once. Sadly, my photography skills don't do justice for her art though.
She’s a fairy with a green thumb, maybe some of it’s paint or pastels, but she her gardens love her. She says anything can grow in Florida, but not everyone’s yard and lanai look as lovely hers.
She’s a running fairy. As a child, I never understood why she enjoyed running . Now as a mom and a runner, I totally understand. When we can run together, we both cherish those steps! We were lucky and got a few runs in this week, and even ran a 10k race.
She is a beading fairy. Bracelets, earrings, necklaces, glass blowing her own beads...She does them all. She always has an ample supply of new creations to check out when we visit her.
She displays her pieces in her home for friends to see and purchase and does a few open house sales a few times a year.
In fact my Easter outfit was completed just by “shopping” her table. It brought the perfect pop of color and style to my easy going poolside gray skirt and white shirt.
Last but not least, she’s a great grand fairy. She is always creating for my kids. This week she whipped up a few pairs of earrings and outfits for some new stuffed animal friends.
And of course there were lots of splashes, balls thrown, dinosaurs played, books read and lots more. We couldn’t be blessed with a better Geo than her! We love you! Thanks for another great trip!
When we are together we always have some project planned. This week was no exception. There are always a few “surprise” projects too. I can’t wait to share what we were up to this time!
