I am all about green lately. I saw this Ellsworth Entertaining Buffet $999, here at Pottery Barn in the latest spring catalog, and knew I had to create a version of my own.
I was asked to do a small oak freestanding kitchen island for Radical Recycling and knew this could be that buffet.
The top was already very distressed, so I threw some random green and white brush strokes of chalk paint on it, then sanded it down, stained and sealed.
The cabinets were done with chalk paint. First layer was blue, then green and white on cabinet fronts. Distressed whole cabinet, glazed, poly'ed and added new knobs.
Lesson learned on this piece though! Measure knobs before painting. These drawer pulls were 3 1/2" hole to hole. I had to settle for $7 knobs! They were the only ones I could find that fit and were the right style!

What's been your spring inspiration?
