This is the first of a three dresser set I did for Radical Recycling. These are used as display pieces in the store. They arrived to me freshly sprayed in teal ready to add some style.
I did some light sanding. These dressers were particle board and laminate surfaces with wood drawers. I "white washed" with a diluted silver. Then distressed using a pitch black gel stain and a tea stain.
I added diamonds in a bluish gray to the top and then sanded again to add some years of teen age love. The knobs were sand blasted and turned out a mixed metal finish which worked perfect.
You can see the other two dressers in this trio, here.
I have been wanting a blue diamond ring since we went on a cruise a few years ago. Long story short, dear hubby was over served at Senior Frogs and we never made it to the jewelry stores in the Bahamas...Well hubby says I got my wish, just not in the form I was expecting...not sure that's too funny.
Here it is in the store. Tune in tomorrow for the other two teals. One is peaking out in the picture above.
Have a great one!
