Do you sense a trend in blue? Well there must have been one last weekend at the sale. Everything of mine that sold had some blue in it. Coincidence?
Anyways this cast iron soap dish was found rusty and neglected. I cleaned it up with a wire brush and brought it back to life with primer and a few blues. I sanded and added some clear coat for protection.
I also got this cool cast iron business card holder on ebay. It was new but just black. I gave it a face lift too with the same primer and blues as the soap dish. I love it! And I love my little blue bird. I love how the light sanding highlights its little wing!
What do you think, was it coincidence that all these blue things sold? I do like blues and greens and tend to do lots of pieces in these colors. I wonder if me liking these colors comes across more in the finished product than I realize.
