Cottage chair

Another preview day of something that I am bringing to the antique crawl tomorrow.  This chair was a glazed brown.  It got multiple layers of blues, greens, yellows.  I custom mixed colors as I went modifying each previous color.  It was distressed and glazed with tea stain.  I painted the seat with black lacquer paint.  The entire piece was sealed.

The truest color of this chair is probably the picture above.  The greens from the trees, grass and my not so fabulous photography skills changed the color appearance.

The guest cottage sign is also coming to the sale.  This was made as described in the post on monday.

I can't wait to see what goodies I find at the sale!  And hoping my goodies like this, yesterday's map table and more find a new home too!

Good Luck with your sale. Everything looks great! If that chair doesn't find a home, I might have to adopt it!

I like what you did to the seat of the chair. I have a similar chair that I wasn't sure how to proceed with in its repurposing...I like the black. Just lovely!
